Hi guys
I do not know where all of you have disappeared. Today I visited a few houses that have installed a modular kitchen custom made by the carpenter. Both had faber hoods. One house had cockroaches while another did not. They have taken treatment for 6 months. Disadvantage as i see is that they say they have to wipe dry all vessels before putting them back in cupboards. I was dazed as to how they fine out what they want.
Another wonderful thing O saw was this kenstar tumble wash top loading. They have had it for five years. Its got steel drum and temp control. All what IFB boasts off but it is top loading and relatively weightless. Any comments on this. I am looking for A REALLY good fully automatic washing machine

@ Chisha

What is your budget for washing machine and what are your requirements? Are you looking to conserve water? Are you looking for a wash & dry system?

Kenstar does not ring a good bell as far as after sales support is concerned. So please double check before buying.

well Chitra

If water conservation is a key then a front loading washing machine would be the best choice. Given the market dynamics today, you could consider LG or Samsung amongst the many other manufacturers out there.

Please share if you have done some groundwork on this already.

My ground work is all web realted and I checked out mouthshut.com. All the reviews have gotten me so confused. Equal number of replies for IFB service for and against. MY sis and mom have an IFB at home and they vouch for it. BUt I felt that transport is a problem here. I have friend too who has had an IFB for 10 years no probs at all. So may be I will go for IFB front loading Smiley

I havent heard many good views on IFB's after sales support atleast from the user in Chennai. It can vary from city to city. I would rather bet on Samsung or LG. But then the serivce centre location near your home, the price of the models, capacity all matter too. Let us know details once you have bought your machine Smiley

All the best.

I got this information from compare india. Not sure whether "tumble wash" is available commonly.

Please suggest me a model having Top Loading, Tumble Wash, Auto Restart, Half Load Option, stainless steel drum, silk sari option, within 5-7 kgs (I would prefer 6 or 6.5 kgs), in any good brand such as IFB/ LG/ Samsung, within range less than Rs 22-24,000. I stay at Dehradun, u.a., INDIA. Waiting for your early response, Thanks by osrn

There are not many options with top loading machines with tumble wash facility. Tumble wash is more popular with front loaders. You will have to up your budget and check front loaders like LG WD-10490NP and Samsung-WF7650S9M with most of the options required by you.

Check this model out.

Model : WD-10490NP

Capacity : 6.5 kg

Fuzzy
Baby care
Wide Door
Quick 30
Hand wash

MRP: Rs 26790

My mom bought an IFB and also my neighbor. Though they have no regrets as far as washing is concerned the time cycle they say is really bugging. It take two hours to finish a load. Now with me rushing to office I really doubt if I can wait that long for putting out the washing.
